Don't Miss Our August 2nd Fundraiser in Olivebridge!
Our Mission
We adopt and shelter dogs from our community who for whatever reason are unable to receive care.
We protect and advocate for the needs of our rescue residents by providing cage-free living, love, dignity and security for the duration of their natural life.
We provide each resident with quality food, expert veterinary care and the necessary and protective vaccinations and medications.
We offer behavior training and rehabilitation, when needed, for all resident dogs, both permanent and temporary.
We help local shelters find homes for dogs in need.
We help those who are looking for companionship.
Our primary goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of each of the dogs in our care. Through dedicated love and concern, and a focus on healthy living conditions, we strive to ensure that all residents enjoy a dignified and comfortable life.

Meet the Pack
Our sanctuary is a place powered by second chances, community, tail wags and dog hair. Here, every member of the pack has a tale to tell (and some of them are doozies). From pirate-eyed misfits to tiny-but-mighty rulers of the couch, they’ve all landed here for the same reason: because Bob believes that love, routine, and a chance to heal can transform a life. This isn’t just rescue—it’s home. Meet the crew that makes it so. (Hover over the images to learn about each pack member.)

NAVI
Navigator (Navi)
Poodle-Shih Tzu mix, 14 years old
Pack Leader. Reception Committee. The Ambassador.
Navy isn’t just a dog—he’s the welcome wagon, concierge, and emotional support supervisor all rolled into one exceedingly dense, low-to-the-ground package. The first official resident of the sanctuary, he was surrendered due to family changes and appointed himself as the greeter-in-chief as soon as Bob first opened it's doors. To this day, Navi holds the honorable position as the foundation’s ambassador—meeting every new arrival, canine or human, with a sniff, a stare, and maybe a bark if your vibe’s off.

ARCHIE
Archimedes (Archie)
Terrier mix, 14 years old
Loudmouth. Flirt. Tiny Dictator.
Archie’s motto is simple: if you’ve got treats, and you’re a lady (human or canine), you’ve already won his heart. Rescued from a NYC shelter, he now devotes his days to bossing everyone around in between naps. His favorite pastime? Letting the whole house know exactly where he is—and where you should be.

LEO
Leo (Mr. Magoo)
Lhasa Apso, 16 years old
One-Eyed Wonder. Professional Napper.
Leo only had one eye and zero tolerance for nonsense. If reincarnation exists, he was definitely a pirate—complete with an intimidating glare and a fondness for naps so deep they border on performance art. He preferred his days horizontal, but when he dreamed, it was of the high seas, mischief, and his ancestral home in Madagascar. If you tried to take his spot on the couch, you prepared to be judged. Severely.
Sadly for all of us at the Sanctuary, Leo passed this summer after a brief heart-related illness.

DUNCAN GEORGE
Duncan George
(Teenage Mutant Ninja Scotty)
Scottish Terrier mix, ~8 years old, Former Stealth Bomber. Current Love Sponge.
Duncan earned his nickname the moment Bob first saw him at the shelter—massive, messy, unidentifiable, and suspicious of absolutely everything. Nobody knew what to do with him. Bob did. These days, he’s a total marshmallow, though he still breaks out his ninja reflexes when it’s time for a bath or a new harness. He’s a walking testament to what patience, structure, and love can do for a dog. Will he always be a little weird? Without a doubt -- Bob wouldn’t have him any other way.

MUFFIN
Muffin
Teacup Yorkie, 15 years old
Tiny Tyrant. Lap Queen.
Muffin may be the smallest dog in the house, but she runs it like a drill sergeant in designer boots. In a sanctuary full of giants, she’s the one they move aside for. Loud, proud, and ready to make a scene at the drop of a hat, Muffin doesn’t care how big you are—she’ll bark you into submission and claim your bone. She's lived a lot of life in a tiny frame, and makes it very clear she’s has no intention of letting up/ slowing down.

LUCY
Lucy (Wild Child)
Jack Russell Terrier mix, ~7–8 years old
Rodent Slayer. Feral-ish. Gourmet Queen.
Lucy was once feral and now... she's selectively civilized. Will tolerate cuddles, but prefers a good chipmunk chase or organic salmon from New Zealand (skin on, please). If it's not rodent or responsibly sourced protein, she's not interested. She’s got that Jack Russell “too smart for your own good” energy and a particular fondness for fresh kills over kibble. Princess? Yes. Predator? Also yes.

LEXI
Lexi
French Bulldog, ~3 years old
Gremlin. Alien. Surprise Sweetheart.
Lexi showed up with a bark like a haunted doll and a head shaped suspiciously like an extraterrestrial. She may had been neglected, but wasted no time pushing her way into the pack with chaotic charm and nonstop sass. Frenchies are high-maintenance, but Lexi mostly wants to be loved—and will announce that loudly, with the vocal range of a gremlin on espresso.

TUNA
Tuna
Coton de Tulear, ~5 years old
Pretty Boy. Leash Avenger. Timeout Champ.
Tuna came to the sanctuary in 2024 with a fluffy, white exterior and a complicated interior. After his dream of being a Manhattan purse dog fell flat—and a major change in his family’s circumstances—they made the difficult decision to rehome him with Bob, whom they’d long trusted with his care. Tuna’s still learning to trust, occasionally forgets he’s not the boss, and often ends up in timeout, but with structure, patience, and plenty of space to be himself, he’s thriving in his new country life—on his own terms.
